Something bothers me about this Perfect Game

Look at this Truly Perfect game played by Stockfish 6 64 bits (which is supposed to be rated approximately around 3480 elo) against another engine rated (2900) elo

i saved it a while back, only now i remembered to analyze t

i was hoping to see how a 3500 beats a 2900 instead i got what i expected, a Draw! i guess what im thinking is perhaps after 2900 the extra elo is almost meaningless ?

i mean perhaps chess engines are at their limit already after 2900 and play (almost) perfectly?

as u can see, this raises alot of argument and doubt about the limitations and actual superiority of engines above 2900 or am i missing something
maybe because this variation is too sharp and thus the engine is forced to play exact moves.

perhaps in a less tactical position a 3400 elo can beat a 2900 one.
bourbon
i was thinking the same

but i think you mean in a "more" tactical position
Did you try to make a match between these engines? At least 10 games. Elo is what it is, it just shows percentage of wins, losses...
You need to try 10-30 games. And if it will be 15-15, then it could be what you say. Even there is a chance that 3500 will lose to 2900. But it doesn't mean it's weaker. It's just one game.
no it was just the 1 game :D

i will try your suggestion and see the result :)
no i mean less tactical because engines never miss tactics, if maybe these two engines play in a strategical, more calm position, the stronger will win.
