Centipawn Loss

http://en.lichess.org/vdubQvO5

If inaccuracies are X amount of centipawn loss, then why is doing a checkmate sequence not the most accurately not count towards an increase in centipawn loss? (Also, ignore the massive amounts of quick checkmates I missed; it was a bullet game with very little time left.)
missing an optimal mate sequence only makes you lose 0.01 per each ply lost from optimal, so it doesn't really count towards your average centipawn loss.
