Tab crashed, and opponent claimed victory on move 2 within 30 seconds.

Why is my opponent permitted to claim victory if the tab crashes within 30 seconds of it crashing? My tab crashed and I immediately went to open another one and the opponent had already claimed victory. How is it that the system permits this? Usually when an opponent does this it takes about 2 minutes to kick in. What gives?
This sounds like one of those evil, unrepeatable bugs.
Lichess has gotten a lot stricter with leaving games lately, so I've seen the option of claiming victory appearing much faster than before.

For example, yesterday I was given the option to claim victory in a 5+0 game in only about 15-20 seconds after my opponent left.
@Acebulf What would you consider a fair time? Should we allow all games to end with a flag, forgetting that this is the purpose of some quitters? I've seen plenty of posts complaining about how long it takes for the claim victory/draw dialog take to appear. (Should we also include a claim loss option for the truly honest?)

Last I heard, the wait time is a direct correlation of the playing time, so if you don't want to have a quick timeout, play longer time controls.
It was a 10+0 game, and it still took only 20 seconds.
