Every game you play is automatically analysed so you don't need to wait to see the graph after the game. I'd pay $2 a month for that. I guess if someone plays all day and constantly analyses the compute cost might be high, but maybe those are the ones who need their games analysed most? Chess.com is $8.75AU a month for unlimited reviews. And $13.34 a month to add an AI or something, which actually might be something cool one day, AI being nuts and all. But at the moment I'd pay for what feels like instant whole game analysis because I can feel my memory of the moves I just played fleeting from my head each and every second it takes to wait for that graph to load.
Lichess could use any profits to pay for ads or something. Adding a premium tier that adds features currently missing, features that would be economically unfeasible of enabled for all players, or even offered to all players. And profits can be used to advertise or upgrade the servers or whatever. Or build up all the money and donate it to the prize pool for the Fischerandom championship. How could would it be to see Lichess logos all over the world championship.
@StartingSquare I think you don't get it. According to OUR great leader @thibault, Lichess is a hippie communist chess server for drug fueled atheists. Why would WE need premium features?

Why not spinoff Lichess then. Keep Lichess exactly the way it is, but also make another website called Cool Chess or whatever. Cool Chess is exactly the same as Lichess, you even use your Lichess login to get in, your ELO and player pool is all the same. But Cool Chess offers instant game analysis for $2 a month.
Like how Wordpress is a totally free GPL software, yet the company that owns it (Automatic) has made billions in profits by leveraging Wordpress themselves, the same way anyone could. Owning something free can be profitable.
Having a cool name like Cool Chess could attract a lot of people who might be put off the Lichess name, like non French speakers.

@StartingSquare Lichess wants to promote chess in a FREE way, so if they add a feature it will be for FREE, no need to make people pay since lichess's main objective isn't making money. Also please read @for_cryingout_loud's links.
