I have huge respect for this site and I hope it stays just like it is. But dang, if someone offered me that kind of money for it, I would certainly be tempted to cash out and retire.

Yeah, but then how you gonna make that 76 million back? If you buy it, you're gonna lose 76 million, because if you try to reap the money back with ads or whatever and stop/change everything we love about this site, then yeah. It's the net. There's nothing stopping a new person from doing a new 'user friendly' and UI simple website.
