Hello. I am extremely weak against 1.d4 . I think it would be great if we had tournaments where people could choose to be black or white in all games and solely play one of the 20 openings as white or against that opening as black.
I always thought it would be cool if Lichess did team tournaments like this.
1) Divide the arena pool into 2 teams based on rating
2) The players on team 1 always get white in the thematic opening, while the players on team 2 always get black.
3) Scores of the players for each team added up to see who wins.
It's kinda a similar idea and would be good practice playing in unfamiliar openings.
